Technical Researcher

Remote | Part-Time or Full-Time

Ludlow Institute is hiring a technical researcher with a background in computer science, strong knowledge of cryptography and network protocols, and a passion for investigating surveillance and privacy technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Research how technologies collect, process, and expose data

  • Evaluate privacy tools and assess the implications of system design

  • Contribute to technical reports, explainers, and fact-checked findings

Requirements

  • Background in computer science or related field

  • Knowledge of cryptography, networking, and privacy tools

  • Strong research and writing skills

  • Interest in privacy, open-source tools, and digital rights
